Dear John, Jim, Tom and Nora,
I just heard last night of Paul’s passing from Mary Frudden Nuki; I was glad to be able to talk to both Paul and Nora at your Mom’s funeral and caught up on our families and all....we had such great memories while living across the street with my Grandmother....and every summer your Mom would tell Paul, Nora and I to take a red wagon every day and collect soda and beer bottles all summer long and once we saved our monies, Mary would take us to Santa Cruz at the Boardwalk and spend the day....great memories .
Please know that all of you remain in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers.
Richard and Gina Uccelli

Mr. Hutton,
You were my favorite teacher from my elementary school career. Your sense of humor was so good. Our class was loud at times but he would pull some things out of the blue to make us laugh to reengage info the learning. I had Mr.Hutton for the 6th grade. This was the year I believe they removed CST testing. In the morning when we came in he had said we were going to do CSTs after lunch and we were bummed. Lunch came around and we settled in class. He was so excited for us taking CSTs. “CST time baby!” The class was complaining and moaning all bummed we were about to to testing. The letters CST were written vertically on the whiteboard before we left for lunch. He then proceeds to write down the abbreviation for the letters CST. (C)heap (S)oda (T)ime. We were all confused and he proceeds to walk over to his desk and reach below it to pull out 3 or 4 boxes of soda and says “Yea guys were taking CSTs. It’s cheap soda time.” We bursted in laughter and he gave us the rest of the day as free time. He said he rewarded us for being such a good class the past month since we had started to become a pretty disruptive class initially. A couple kids had phones or iPads but the thing then was the computers and the pinball game. All the boys would go over and try to get the highest score. All of us taking turns and trash talking. This memory is the first one that pops up in my head when I think of having Mr. Hutton as a teacher. I have many more that I will share. Such a nice and motivating guy. He always encouraged us to read and do better than before on the AR tests. I wanted to visit you right before the basketball season started to catch up with you and look around in new and repainted campus. Never did and find out about this almost 2 months later. I know you wouldn’t want me to be sad so I won’t be. I’m super grateful to have had you as my 6th grade teacher and role model in the classroom that year.

I will always remember Paul as being easy going. I don't think I ever heard him raise his voice to his class. I use to translate for him during teacher/parent conferences. He was able to say some words in Spanish and understand what the parents were saying but he just needed that extra help to get his point across. After the conference, he would always say, "that went better than I thought. Thank you Nova." He always had something good to say about all of his students. Paul was a great teacher, a wonderful co-worker and most of all, a good friend to me. I will miss him dearly. I know that he is watching down on us along with my mother and they are sharing stories about everyone down here who is missing him! Rest in Peace and please give my mom a hug for me. I will miss you Paul and so will the whole San Vicente staff and students.
